Dr. Davis grew up in the small town of Colleyville, Texas. Her childhood was spent playing tennis and watching sports, two things that are still important to her. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BBA in Marketing, while always planning to go into Medicine. After college she was awarded a Rotary Goodwill Scholarship and decided to defer medical school for a chance to live in a foreign country, as one of her dreams was to travel. She studied English Literature for one year at University of Warwick in Coventry, England and was awarded a postgraduate diploma.
After living abroad in England, she came home to Texas to attend the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and received her Medical Doctorate in 1996. She completed her Family Medicine Residency in Salt Lake City, and became Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1999.
She and her husband moved to Boise originally for his job as a Biology Professor at the College of Idaho in 2000. She started Davis Family Medicine in 2003 and has been in the same location since 2005.
Dr. Davis has two daughters and an incredibly supportive husband. They love to travel and spend time outdoors in Idaho’s incredible wilderness. They also love their dog, Izzie, and Izzie goes everywhere with them. Dr. Davis’ interests includes mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing, tennis, and playing ukulele. She still supports the Longhorns and will discuss the merits of their football program anytime.
